Delaware Hunting License

A hunting license is required for anyone who hunts within the state. License fees vary according to the hunter's age and the type of license, and whether the hunter is a Delaware resident. Hunting licenses are valid for one year, from July 1st to June 30th every year. Hunters who lose their licenses may replace them by contacting the Division of Fish & Wildlife. For more information on Delaware Hunting Licenses, please consult the DNREC website.

Additional Hunting Permits and Tags

In addition to the required hunting license, you may need to purchase permits or tags depending on the species you are hunting and the area where you are hunting. You can find out more about these requirements when you purchase your hunting license, or you can visit the DNREC website for more information.

Federal Migratory Bird Stamp

ALL hunters over the age of 16 must purchase a Federal Migratory Bird Hunting Stamp if they are hunting any type of waterfowl. Stamps are available at post offices.
