Persons born after January 1, 1967 must have proof of successful completion of a hunting safety education course in order to obtain a Delaware hunting license. The HUNTERcourse.com Delaware Online Hunter Course allows you to complete most of the course work from home, and attend a single Field Day where you will obtain your hunter education certificate.

A hunting license is required for anyone who hunts within the state. License fees vary according to the hunter's age and the type of license, and whether the hunter is a Delaware resident. Hunting licenses are valid for one year, from July 1st to June 30th every year. Hunters who lose their licenses may replace them by contacting the Division of Fish & Wildlife. For more information on Delaware Hunting Licenses, please consult the DFW website at www.fw.delaware.gov.
In addition to the required hunting license, you may need to purchase permits or tags depending on the species you are hunting and the area where you are hunting. You can find out more about these requirements when you purchase your hunting license, or you can visit the DFW Website for more information.
ALL hunters over the age of 16 must purchase a Federal Migratory Bird Hunting Stamp if they are hunting any type of waterfowl. Stamps are available at post offices.
