How to Book your Internet-Based Hunter Education Course
Before you take the online hunter safety course you must register for an Internet-Based Hunter Education Course with Colorado Parks and Wildlife. To complete the hunter education requirements for Colorado, you must pass both the online AND classroom portions of the hunter education course.
Internet-Based Hunter Education Courses are conducted by CPW-certified hunter safety instructors, and are expected to last between 5 and 7 hours. Activities at the Internet-Based Hunter Education Course include different hands-on activities, and a multiple-choice final exam. As you participate in the conclusion class, always remember to follow the rules of hunting and firearm safety.
To book an Internet-Based Hunter Education Course in your area consult the course calendar: dnr.state.co.us (look for classed marked "INTERNET BASED"). If you cannot locate an internet class within your area, CPW can help you find a certified instructor close to you. Find out more information on the CPW website.
You must bring a copy of your course completion certificate and a piece of valid identification to your Internet-Based Hunter Education Course. Youth who do not have their own ID may have their parents or guardians show ID on their behalf.
