Yukon Hunter Education Requirement

All Yukon Residents born after April 1, 1987 are required to take and successfully complete a recognized hunter training course prior to obtaining a hunting license. Non Residents that wish to hunt big game in the Yukon are required to be guided by a registered Yukon Outfitter or by a Yukon Resident holding a Special Guide License. Bison, goat, sheep, elk, deer, and wolverine may not be hunted under a Special Guide Licence. Other restrictions may apply.
